$50 BILLION DOLLARS. Someone should get the bushes to pick up the tab. Of course there is no cost for the number of Iraq and U.S. personnel that have lost their lives but maybe we can get them to work it off in menial tasks related industries that can do no more harm. CNN.com Video
Hussein is dead, long live the king. (Was “The king is dead….” you get it.) This is an interesting article that doesn’t speak of an upcoming attack but the US completely twisted the phrase “The Enemy of my Enemy is my friend” now they all hate the US. U.S. Tactics Fuel for Islamists - OhmyNews International Someone has to buy a calendar for the bush advisors. The execution took place on Eid day, one of Islam’s major religious festivals. Almost by default Hussein became a martyr. His letter probably won’t help, “Here, I offer my soul to God as a sacrifice, and if he wants, he will send it to heaven with the martyrs.” When he knew his death was coming he had the wisdom to know what to say that may cause the most grief. I’m in no way offer my praise for his past actions but I’m against the death penalty, I’m more in favor of the deep hole in the ground punishment, the worse the crime the deeper the hole. If attitudes change the prisoner can be lifted out of the hole but cannot be given life. Back to Iraq, this execution will not help the armed forces on the ground but will hurt and kill. I was US army 15 years ago so I know those are men with families. Anyway I can go on forever without saying anything but the point is let’s try to make the bad situation we’ve been put into by bush.
“Hussein Hanged bush spared” is what the headline of this artile should have read. This article doesn’t have the evidence but puts into perspective the crimes of an evil man in power. The evil man isn’t Hussein who was a slow witted bad guy. No, I’m talking evil that stares into the face of a condemned to die woman and answers her pleas for clemency with mockery, had knowledge of atrocity and covered it with lies to protect his family involvement of mass murder. The evil man isn’t one man but a family, the bush family.
A little perspective on the murder of a non-innocent in Bagdad. He was a modern day Hitler and needed to be removed from power but there are better methods to do so besides putting Americans at risk. Read the article and decide who is at fault for all the deaths caused.
We shouldn’t finish the year with death but the promise of a possible glorious future for all.
This is the man, Al Gore, that opened my eyes to the forthcoming catastrophe that will affect of all, American, European, Asian, Middle Eastern… He make the obvious link to the problems of Iraq to the global warming issue (it’s an obvious link but so many close their eyes). This links to a short video interview, I want to see more but I’ll search on the internet, if there is a video of the show somewhere I’ll find it. If you voted against bush in 2000 didn’t matter with the electoral college, if you voted for bush in the last presidential election break the bounds and learn what can affect us all, if you voted against him notify your legislators about starting impeachment proceeding (or for him for that matter). Crooks and Liars » Al Gore on Iraq: “This was the worst strategic mistake in the entire history of the United States.”
I’m ex US military, the US Army to be exact, in a land before time (or 17 years depending on your perspective). I’m all for giving the men in the field all the tools they need to get the job done safely. I read this article at Wired News: Say Hello to the Goodbye Weapon and all I can do is the of the unforeseen dangers that might arise out of the need to remain dominant in the battlefield. This will come back to haunt us all. In the article it was written that "If used properly, ADS will produce no lasting adverse affects, the military argues." First "if used properly" would almost never be the case in a crisis situation and "no lasting effect" a military argument, sounds like an oxymoron. Next is another quote from the article "most of the radiation (83 percent) is instantly absorbed by the top layer of the skin, heating it rapidly." where does the rest go?
I’ve always thought that the Iraq fiasco would become that, a fiasco. I’ve put it on this blog since the first lie and I will not “flip/flop” on that idea. I always imagined it was bad but not as bad as this report on BBC TV. Take a look and see if you agree with impeachment.
An interesting and well thought article about the justifications needed to impeach Bush and Cheney (the reason for Cheney too is that like cockroaches is you let one survive they’ll breed) Daily Kos: Articles of Impeachment against Bush and Cheney I’ve stored a copy of this article in case it should "mysteriosly dissappear".
